“Mirror mirror on the wall, which is the most boring of them all”
Let’s be honest, we’ve all faced this: we want a wall mirror to liven up a space but all look the same. We invest time and effort in browsing through numerous brands and all that we find are different types of the same framed geometric mirror.
Who said mirrors are just mirrors? Why not make a mirror a statement piece in your house, a wall sculpture that serves as the room’s focal point and at the same time is a functional accent mirror?
Exactly our thoughts…
Our ‘In the hands’ mirror series has all you are looking for and a bit more to give the right amount of dramatic impact on the entire space. These ornate mirrors are designed as pieces of art in themselves. The artwork consists of Saint-Gobain glass (because we know quality matters) that is adorned by two wall-mounted hands that seem to be holding your reflection. The simplicity and narrowness of the glass add a minimalist touch to this wall sculpture, while the larger-than-life hands add an element of modern maximalism. The “cherry on the top” of this design is how you can make it your own by personalizing the colours of the hands and nails.

Three shapes, endless possibilities
The series has three shapes aimed to satisfy all tastes, from a more traditional to a contemporary taste, and everything in between.
O Mirror
The traditional geometric shape, perfectly round, makes this a perfect mirror for those looking for something simple. It adds the perfect touch to a bathroom and will add unmatched flair to any wall space.
W Mirror
This horizontal mirror which seems to rest on the wall-mounted hands, is a melange of styles that will look stunning in a sun soaked room.
E Mirror
A vertical mirror that will add movement to any space. The hands seem to be fighting the laws of physics by either pulling the orbital shape open or forcing a perfectly geometric shape into this unique contour.
Art is in the details
But what is so special about these mirrors? Initially, what grabs the attention is the mix of artistic styles that blend perfectly together. But upon a closer look, you will see the intricacies in the hands that carry our metallic three-dimensional DNA.
“We were playing with the idea of creating a statement mirror from everyday objects. In the stillness of lockdown, our hands became our everyday object. I started incorporating hands in the designs and toying with different mirror shapes to create this surrealist mirror that dubs as a realist wall sculpture”
Nitush Mahipal – Art Director
Artisan crafted with stainless steel and infused with magic, the level of detail in these giant-like hands is breathtaking. From the nails to the wrinkles of the skin along the joints of the fingers is made with utmost care. Each finger is carefully (and patiently) created by our artisans and welded together to create the unique hands.
“Crafting a hand this size, in such a realistic almost photographic manner, was not easy. We had to carry out extensive anatomical research and experimentation and discard many shapes until we nailed the right design and finish.”
Aroosh Mahipal – Operations Director
The mat finish on the hands emanates vintage charm while the shiny finish of the nails add a touch of quirkiness to the piece. Colour can be used either in complementary or clashing ways to create that wow element that will make this accent mirror a talking point.
